A Musical Exploration of Connection and Transformation
This year’s theme, "Journeys," explores how music connects individuals across distance, time, and lived experiences. Each ensemble will perform pieces representing different aspects of physical, emotional, and creative passage, seamlessly transitioning into one another to maintain the signature fast-paced "Collage" concert flow.
The evening will culminate in a massive, combined finale featuring all 440 students performing a beloved popular tune designed to bring performers and audience members together in a shared moment of celebration.
"Collage XII is more than a concert; it is a celebration of our students' dedication, unity, and growth," said Daphne Shululu, Ithaca City School District Director of Fine and Performing Arts. "The theme 'Journeys' speaks directly to the shared paths our young musicians walk together, and we are thrilled to share this experience with our local and digital communities alike."
