The results of the 2025 Ithaca City School District (ICSD) Budget Vote and School Board Election listed below have been certified and adopted by the ICSD Board of Education.

Proposition No. 1: Proposed 2025-2026 Annual District Budget

  • YES Votes: 3,756

  • NO Votes: 1,078

  • Passed with 77.70%

Proposition No. 2: Appropriation and Expenditure of Capital Reserve Funds

  • YES Votes: 3,733

  • NO Votes: 1,089

  • Passed with 77.42%

School Board Election

Jacob Shiffrin, Karen Yearwood, and Erin Croyle have each been elected to a three-year at-large term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028. Madeline Cardona has been appointed to fill the remainder of a former board member’s unexpired term, beginning May 20, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026.

  • Scott Jahnke: 2,019 votes

  • Madeline Cardona: 2,351 votes

  • David McMurry: 1,960 votes

  • Erin Croyle: 2,709 votes

  • Jacob Shiffrin: 3,492 votes

  • Karen Yearwood: 2,932 votes

  • Jill K. Tripp: 2,238 votes
