What a fun week across the ICSD! South Hill Elementary held its Fall Fest and Enfield Elementary marched in a festive parade 🎃🍁

ICSD Transportation is revamping its safety training with hands-on workstations that include pre-trip inspections, wheelchair training including loading and unloading, tail swing, and mirror adjustments. We strive for the absolute safety of our students and staff and plan to keep working to make our training the best around!

National School Bus Safety Week is here! 🚌 🚌
Safety is a team effort! Students, families, staff, and other drivers all play an important role in keeping safe around school buses.
Here are some important safety tips:
➡️ Arrive at your stop at least five minutes early and stand on the sidewalk/ at least six feet from the road.
➡️ Board the bus one at a time, hold the handrail, and take a seat!
➡️ Stay seated at all times, and keep the aisle clear.
➡️ Listen to the bus driver/bus aide at all times.
➡️ When exiting the bus, use the handrails, and wait for the driver’s signal before crossing the road.

This week is National School Lunch Week! 🥗🌭
School cafeterias, food preparation staff, and the entire Child Nutrition department all play a critical role in providing students with healthy meals every day.
This year, our partnership with the Park Foundation and Chef Ann Foundation helps us to invest in our local community to feed our children with fresh, sustainable, healthy food.

Welcome back, ICSD! Here's to a brand new year of beginnings, friendships, learning, and growing. Let's make this year the best one yet!

Join us this Monday, August 28, for our final Summer Playground Night! We will meet at Enfield Community Center again due to the construction at the school.
5-6 p.m: Principal Keith Harrington and staff will be introducing themselves and speaking about the school, new programs, and expectations for this coming year. They will be available to you for any questions you may have ahead of the start of school.
6-7 p.m.: PTA will host an ice cream social - pizza, juice boxes, ice cream sundaes, lawn games, and playground fun provided. ECC's community library will also be open from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Enfield Playground Nights are hosted by Enfield Elementary PTA in collaboration with Enfield Community Council and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

We can't wait to welcome students back in September! Here's a throwback to a Friday Celebration in June at Enfield Elementary where K-3 students performed songs they learned in music class!

On June 20, Enfield Elementary fifth graders joyfully 'moved up' in front of an audience of teachers, friends, and family. Congratulations! ❤️
