Mrs. Herman's grade 6 social studies students recently completed research projects on one of the Ancient Wonders of the World. These projects accompanied a guided research paper. Joanne Church, our teacher-librarian, led lessons about the use of online resources and properly citing sources. The entire project was a great foundation for further inquiry.
Eighth-grade DeWitt students engaged in an interdisciplinary unit about immigration to the United States that began in the 1840’s. This provided an opportunity to explore and celebrate our diversity - as a nation, and as a community. It also provided and opportunity to learn more about others and ourselves. An open house at DeWitt featured students work.
