Two Confirmed COVID-19 Cases at Belle Sherman, In-Person Learning to ContinueFebruary 10, 2021
Dear Belle Sherman Elementary School Community,
The Tompkins County Health Department (TCHD) has confirmed two student cases of COVID-19 at Belle Sherman Elementary School. All students and staff who were in close contact with the positive individuals are already home, engaged in distance learning and teaching. We have notified those individuals that we will be sharing their information with the TCHD and that public health nurses will follow up with them to discuss quarantine. Those who are close contacts will continue distance learning and teaching through their TCHD-imposed quarantine period.
Due to excellent cohorting practices at Belle Sherman Elementary School, the remainder of the school can continue in-person instruction. This is a true testament to the outstanding work of the Belle Sherman staff and students. Thank you.
