Community Letter: COVID-19 School Report Card Dashboard and Protocol Reminder

Dear Ithaca City School District Community,

Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise in our community and schools, as many predicted and expected. We believe strongly that we have a responsibility to both protect the confidentiality of individuals who test positive, and to inform our communities about cases that pose a direct risk to them.

We will always directly alert affected communities of any in-person student or staff member who tests positive for COVID-19 and has had contact with others in the school. Please know these communications are also posted on our district homepage: ithacacityschools.org. From this point on, the principal of each school building will notify their respective community when and if there are cases with no school exposures.

Each day, school districts in New York State are required to report positive cases for both in-person and distance learners, as well as all staff members. You may check this information daily on the NYS COVID-19 School Report Card Dashboard (also linked on the ISCD homepage).
