Here are some basic tips on how to increase Chromebook speeds and performance:
Update the Chromebook Operating System

Turn on your Chromebook

Log into the device

Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi

At the bottom right, select the time

Select Settings

At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS

Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses
- Select Check for updates
- If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically
Remove User Profiles
- On the Chromebook sign-in screen, select the profile you want to remove
- Next to the profile name, select the Down arrow or 3 dots
- Select Remove this user
- In the box that appears, select Remove this user
- If you do this for the assigned user, it will give them a clean slate and a fresh log-in
Remove Unneeded Extensions
- Open Chrome
- At the top right, click the puzzle piece
- Go through the extensions and click the three-dots on each extension you would like to remove
- Click on Remove from Chrome
Speed Test
- Running a speed test on your home network should help provide a good idea of what sort of performance to expect
