Thank you to everyone who has supported the Ithaca High School Brain Team with donations, candy sale purchases, and Twitter likes/retweets (@IHSBrainTeam).
The team has competed in a number of tournaments this year and the Ithaca A team has already qualified for two national competitions in Atlanta and Chicago. More tournaments are coming, including one November 19 hosted at IHS.
Your help is needed for the 11/19 tournament!
The 5th Annual BrainBusters fall tournament is the largest single-day tournament in Upstate New York. It will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 19. Volunteers are needed to help with the tournament - primarily to read questions or help keep score. Volunteers must be at IHS by 8:30 a.m. for a staff meeting. The tournament is expected to go until about 5:30 p.m. Volunteers will get a free lunch - plus the opportunity to see some of the best and brightest students from the area compete in an academic setting. This is a rare treat!
Help is also needed for trivia night 11/17!
The IHS Brain Team will host the fall Trivia Night on Thursday, November 17 in the cafeteria from 6-8:30 p.m. This includes the annual fall Trivia Night Fundraiser. Tickets are $10 and include food, music, trivia, and the chance to win awesome prizes. Come alone or with a team of up to five to compete!
The money raised helps the IHS Brain Team pay for the registration, hotel stays, and transportation associated with the national competitions the team qualified for, as well as additional qualifying tournaments throughout the year.
Donations as cash or check payable to the IHS Brain Team are always welcome!
