Society of Women Engineers - 2017 Margaret R. Brewster Scholarship 2017 IHS Senior Awards    
March 24 is the application deadline for the Twin Tiers Society of Women Engineers for the 2017 Margaret R. Brewster scholarship program. There are five non-renewable scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year. These $2,000 scholarships are for female high school seniors in the Twin Tiers region. Eligible seniors must major in an  ABET accredited  engineering or computer science program. The 2017 IHS Senior Awards application is due March 17. Please turn in all completed applications to Ms. Brenda Sullivan in the College and Career Center. This application will be used for several awards from the community and academic departments. Awards fall under multiple categories, including academic achievement, financial need, individual character and ethnic background of students. CMC Foundation Scholarship Finger Lakes Running Club Scholarship
 
 
The CMC Foundation Scholarship application is due April 10.  Do not mail this application to CMC, we will mail it for you!  Please turn in all completed parts to Ms. Brenda Sullivan by April 3. The Cayuga Medical Center Foundation Scholarship is a merit-based award designed to provide financial support to graduating seniors intending to continue their education in pursuit of a health care career. Review the criteria. Get the application. The Finger Lakes Running Club Scholarship application is due April 7. Please mail application materials to the address listed on this document.    
Carol Buckley Scholarship Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Omicron Nu Omega Chapter    
This scholarship has been established in the honor of Carol Jean Buckley, by her family and friends.  Carol, a graduate of Ithaca High School Class of 1983, died of Lou Gehrig's disease in 2005, at the age of 40.

The Carol J. Buckley Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who exhibits promise (and intends to pursue higher education) in the fine, performing, visual, theatrical or written arts.

 
Omicron Nu Omega is the local graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which encourages academic excellence and service to communities of color. They award an annual scholarship to an African-American or Latino/a graduating high school senior who is college-bound in the fall. Students from Ithaca High School are invited to apply. We open the competition to students who have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or above. Get the application.
