Almost 100 South Hill Hawk musicians in grades three through five participated in a wonderful instrumental music concert on Wednesday, May 18.
The students' hard work and the support of their parents, caregivers, and teachers were evident as they were well prepared, focused, and clearly enjoyed performing advanced music on their instruments. The Beginning Orchestra and Beginning Band members (comprised of students who just started instruction on their instrument this year) and the Advanced Orchestra and Advanced Band members (students in their second or third year of study) did an outstanding job showing off all that they have learned.
Jennifer Kaiser and Jenna Jordan are very proud of their students' individual effort and determination, and of their collective cooperation as they worked together to make beautiful music. The proud families and teachers celebrated the performers' accomplishments with a nice reception following the concert.
If you have a student who will be entering third, fourth or fifth grade next year, your child can also learn how to play an instrument at South Hill. Registration forms will be distributed in June. Completed forms must be submitted before the end of the school year so that we can plan instruction for next year. Lessons occur once per week on a rotating schedule during the school day. More details will be sent home with the registration forms.
If you have questions about the instrumental music program, or if you want more information, please contact Jennifer Kaiser or Jenna Jordan at South Hill 607-274-2129 or via email Jennifer.email@example.com
Have a wonderful end to your school year and we look forward to working with your amazing students again (and/or for the first time) next year!
