Enfield Celebrates Reading & Dr. Seuss

Enfield Elementary recently celebrated National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Students started their day March 2 by eating green eggs and ham for breakfast in the cafeteria. Teachers and students dressed up as their favorite book characters, and talked about books. Later in the day, parents and community members visited Enfield to read aloud Dr. Seuss books, books about creativity, and books about inventions. The books were read to students in pre-K through grade 5. Enfield students and staff ended the day with an assembly by the Community Unity Music Education Program. March 2 is National Read Across America Day, Dr. Seuss Day, and Dr. Seuss' birthday.
