Ithaca City School District Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown has been named to the 2017 TrustED 20. The list is compiled of the 20 “top education thought leaders to consider following,” and is divided into four categories: veterans, advocates, educators, and voices.
Dr. Brown, listed as a top educator, was recognized for his work in fostering communication and developing trust between students, staff, families, and the community. Other notable thought leaders appearing on the list include Federal policy influencer Linda Darling-Hammond, former Secretary of Education John B. King, and authors Sir Ken Robinson and Diane Ravitch.
“I am humbled and honored to be listed as one of the nation’s leading thinkers and influencers,” said Dr. Brown. “It means much to have the work and successes of the ICSD students, staff, and community mentioned with the best educators and stories in the nation.”
